Guys,
For all the right reasons I've made a decision to step aside as a coach of the Titans. It's been a great 12 months where the club has grown is size, skill and waisteline. That's a knockout combo!
I've let the others on the committee know earlier in the week but we haven't met to discuss the way forward.
My personal view is that anyone up for the job should be part of a candidate list where ultimately the players select their man (woman). Once selected there would be a handover process where the new guy would be assistant coach for a while.
Again the above process is only my view on how things should go forward.
In my view the coach could be a player or an interested non-player. The responsibilities I undertook were doing drills, choosing lineups, interefering with Andy's match setup attempts, buying jerseys and settling disputes.
More info will be forthcoming after the committee meet!
Cheers!
Woody

I nominate Coach Packer. his knowledge of absolutely nothing useful means we'd restart with a cleam white board....

I think I speak for all Titans when I say thanks Woody, it was great having you as a coach. You definitely played a major role in our 2005 summer cup triumph by leading our team from behind the bench. Your time and dedication off-ice was also much appreciated. Whoever replaces Woody will definitely have some big shoes to fill!

Well woody, thanks for doing such a great job, you were definatly the main reason we won the summer cup. You worked out some amazing face-off plays that helped heaps. And made us do drills we needed to do. On a personal note, thanks for giving me a shot so many times in my rookie year, my improvement throghout the year is all down to the playing experience , that you gave me.

Woody you old fart!, get ya crying done, this is just old man woes. You know hockey gives you direction in life, before you hang up a role that is by nature a" thank less task" I sugest that you obtain some feedback on how your role is percieved generally, and in the bigger picture for the club. Yes some people will have reason to feel agrieved, but like wise alot have much to be thankfull of. To quote a great man " I dont have the key to succes, but the key to failure is trying to please every one" Its proberly a mid life crisis syndrome( very late) So if your hell bent on this decision, then a hearty thank you to you, and good luck to the next chap! regards
