Wrap is Right!
You had to wrap up last night to keep from freezing...
A big thanks to all who contributed to The Charity Match last night. Besides raising a bit of dosh (I heard £1000) the players had a great time. Good to see the support from Luke, Jaz, Sully, Rob and others who froze while we played.
Special thanks to Hubbs & Mark for arranging the match and working their socks off behind the scene. It was a great concept and really good fun - even if we did concede 7 goals in one period...
Also thanks to Rachel & Michelle who did the score-clock and announcements. I'll bet you two still haven't thawed out!
The Programme on the evening was authored and created by Steph (Mark's better half) who worked countless hours compiling and printing. The good news is that we now have a programme template that we can use for upcoming matches! Steph also did some nifty negotiations to get the ice at, um, a reasonable price...Free! Thanks Steph!
Titans - in order for us to play fun matches we rely on an "off-ice team" to make it happen. Be sure and show your appreciation next time you see any of these folks.
