He's a role player - We think he can do something, we just haven't figured out what it is yet.
He's good in the dressing room - We should leave him in the dressing room because he's useless on the ice
He brings intangibles - We're not sure what he brings to the team
He's a competitor - He competes every game, he just doesn't win very often.
He's hard nosed - He's stupid enough to lead with his face
He's good in the corners - He belongs in the corners - with a dunces cap on.
He gives us physical presence - He takes up space
He's a technically sound goalie - His reflexes are lousy
He's a reflex goalie - He hasn't a clue how to play the angles
He's a power play specialist - I like having an extra man out there to cover for his errors
He's a stay at home defenseman - He can't skate and carry the puck at the same time
He's an offensive defenseman - He can't play defense
He adds toughness - He ices two shifts a night and starts fights on both of them
He's an all round player - He doesn't do anything particularly well
He's feisty - He talks to the opposition and takes dumb penalties at crucial times
He has a tremendous upside - He can't get any worse
He's a grinder - It's 50-50 he'll miss an empty net from three feet
He's got good work ethic - He works hard but accomplishes little
He's a playmaker - He'd better pass because he shoots like my grandmother
We've got good chemistry - We may be lousy but we all get along
We're rebuilding - We stink this year, and we probably will next year as well
We're shaking up the lines to add offense - I'm pulling names out of a hat and hoping it works
Things are turning around for us now - We're not as awful as we were
He's our star - He can actually play hockey
We don't want to rush him - He's rubbish
We played undisciplined hockey - The ref sucked
