As you may or may not have noticed last night i left the ice early after an un-intentional and miss perceived incident with another member of our team. Reason i left the ice was before i gave the young lad a hiding he would not forget. And i for one do not come training for this s***. This is a recreational team for those that do not understand the word recreational here is the meaning: -
[glow=green,2,300]refreshment of strength and spirits after work; also : a means of refreshment or diversion : [/glow]
Also i left because ANTON pulled one hell of a funky move on me and left me doing trials for figure skating. S*** that boy is good.
Every single one of us on this team have lives, family's, jobs, careers, business to go home too. And do not expect to spend money to come training to get that release of a hard weeks work and have to stand there why lads try and make a name for themselves by trying to cause brawls. We are all playing rec hockey because we are too old, too fat, too unfit, just starting, or simply not good enough to play pro, so why the hell do people take this nuts far to seriously, if it is serious to you then i suggest that you try out in the EPL where i am sure they could do with some more fighters on the team. I ain't getting paid for this b******* i am paying for it, and as i said to the person involved last night call me a c**t in jest but if you call me it in a fit of anger i will f*** you up.
As the boys i know in the Titans know i only hit in games and so do many others for the simple reason i do not want to get hurt and i do not want to hurt anybody else. We have a mixed age, and mixed skill out there so for that reason i do not hit. For f**** sake some members on the team have pubic hair older than some of you guys so my message is if you want a name do it in a game not amongst ourselves as i am sure in games you do not here a peep out of these people because they feel they are safe in training and in games they are unsure on who to f*** with but let me tell you this the guys we play are grown men and the will not take f****** s*** of people.
This is the second time i have done a post on this matter. I have been back only 3 weeks and in every session there has been at least two incidents on every session. This f****** b*** s*** has to stop before somebody gets seriously hurt we are all adults so lets start acting like it. Do you think the likes of Swindon and the other teams are fighting each other in training i don't think so if you want to fight do it in game if you ain't got the balls then don't do it in training.
There i have had my say the person involved feel free to air your views in this thread and then we will sweep it under the carpet and carry on regardless.
Also if any other lads have anything to add please do as i said it has to stop here before somebody gets hurt!!
Also there is a lot of b i t c h i n g going on about peoples skating, puck handling, passing shooting etc etc we are all at mixed levels we all do it for fitness and fun and the social aspect so sorry to those that think that they are too good for rec hockey but sadly you are playing rec for reasons stated above so just get on with it and enjoy because the boys that are being shouted at and ridiculed are enjoying it until you open your mouths and spoil it for them, remember they are the only guys that put 120% into training as they are the ones that want to learn most and want to be on the team sheet the most. We were all new once and we have all been rusty at times so show some d*** respect.

Although I am not sure of the insident you refer to I do agree with a lot of what you have written. I will say this though, despite the level of skill/talent/experience if each player approaches the practice with a different attitude they will each take a different experiance away from the ice. Bicker and moan as much as one wants but if a pass isn't tape to tape don't abuse the passer (especially if the reciever is have an ice pad away) work with them in warm up rather than trying to humiliate a goalie just for the sake of it!
On the whole I'd say the sessions are improving-even after just two weeks with Robin giving us direction (no disrespect Woody eyes from the side see more) there is more organised feel to the way we move the lay up the ice. If only we could stop Medway skating fom behind his goal to the far blue the forwards would become more motivated to drop back into the zone for a break out. (Any chance of a specific break out Robin?)
This is attainment related maybe but if we can as a team improve the fun and fitness will exponentially increase as a by product. The REC and summer cup are here and we are doing well for ourselves-we've self destructed in the passed lets nip this now before it gets to be a tradition.
If it's time for a team bonding mission I suggest Southal takes one for the TEAM go paint balling at his shop.

MAL: cut their f*****g heads off. I'll bitch slap the lot of you next time i train if you can't play as a team. I vow that any bad pennies shall be run off the team as i'm not compromising the teams ethics on playing and socialising just because some arse thinks they are chocolate. Wind your neck in boys or your leaving, simple as.

The swearing filter on this forum is hilarious. I agree with Mooney on the dog slapping though. This is rec and isn't serious. I'm back next week - I'll inject some humour (and a little semen) back into the on-ice experience.

i missed the incident too, so i cant comment, but as with hitting in trainin i tend to disagree, this is ice hockey afterall, there is a need for contact in trainin. otherwise we go into a game against a tough team and most of us get battered about. dont get me wrong, smoking people when they are facing the glass is not good, neither is lining someone up at center ice for the biggest hit of their lives when they got their head down and not expecting it. sensible hitting on the boards or mid ice when both are expecting it is good. if we keep it sensible we will improve and be better come game time. afterall we are all team mates and friends in the locker room. High intensity and common sense is a good combination.

I think my post has been mis-understood slightly probably written wrong by me. So i will explain myself better.
In my incident in a game situation yes it would be called checking from behind but it was done un-intensionally as we were going round the back of the net at speed and i had my stick firmly round his waist and with his speed and my speed plus boths weight when he went into the corner he took me with him and we collided with him facing the glass and i did not put any weight or force into the hit therefore i did not check him from behind it was accidental, and then when i skated over to him to apologies he started shouting things in my face which i am afraid is one thing that makes me tick my temper is very short and i do not wish to loose it. Hence this then got me fired up and a brawl could have happened so what i am trying to say is all the on ice bickering has got to stop because i do not expect to wake up after training and have to explain to my daughter why her dad has black eyes cut hands etc etc (we are all team mates)
When i said i do not hit in training i meant i do not go out to nail anybody but the only people i will hit are people with balance and size as explained to the lad. At the end of the day i hear people talking on the bench saying about certain people nailing others yet in a game they are a totally different player they avoid the hit and go for the puck which to me shows that they are only confident hitting in training well i am the opposite in a game when i step on that ice i am like a mad man possessed the more i hit the better i play. And i do not know all of you that well yet and i do not want to be a player that nobody really likes because he is a bully I just want to get on and enjoy it. So i do agree with you wells that hitting does better a player but i also have to agree with Jaz that there are some lads out there that are big and they should not be hitting the smaller guys unless they wish to be hit and you find that out by weather they are hitting themselves and as for hitting people with there heads sometimes that is the best way to help them pick there head up not something i highly recomend though

Fair clean hits are fine in training - gotta get used to that sort of stuff - as already stated, no need to go smoking somene in training just cos the "opportunity" might arise. I'm probably the smallest guy on the team, yet I am fine to take good clean hits - it's part of the game.
What I will say though that there does appear to be a very small bickering element creeping in as Southall has mentioned, and this has raised it's ugly head with 4 incidents in the last 3 training sessions that I have been to.
Having said that, nothing has been too over the top yet, and this stuff happens at times on the ice - it's usually no big deal. I reckon we should all go out and get shit faced in order to show the love we have for each other!!!!

Yes now that is what i am talking about finally i am not talking about the contact i am talking about the bickering at the moment it is not to serious but soon enough if it keeps happening it will turn serious hence the reason i left the ice to avoid the situation as i was about 1 second from blowing my lid. Which i do not wish to do with my own team mates!! but anyway we will see what happens from now on.

Just to let you know i made a mid ice hit tonight trying to kill little young selfy but he just went down like a sac of s*"t and then held my stick muttering somthing bout southall is a total wimp and couldn't hurt a fly because he is to old and slow. Had to agree with him bout southall, but thought the hit was justified as he had his head down and was fair game in my books, as to the original thread i think because of the diversity of age groups (past it and young up starts) there is always going to be incidents and mouthing off, which most of the time it is. We come training to get away from the grind of daily life have fun and "maybe" get fit, it is also a way of venting frustration in a controlled mana. To try and eradicate the fouling is impossible and would end up turning a traing session into a mothers and toddlers group. There is a limit to the abuse we take and it varies to the individual and the day they have had. Ive said enough now for the next 4 months with this posting so talk again in about august.

Again my thread has been mis-understood!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Let me put it into simple terms.
Simple terms!!!
I did not say stop hitting i could not give a f**k if you hit me or somebody else all night long and i could not give a f**k where you hit them center, corner from behind up the ass i could not give a s***!!!!!
The age etc etc was only put in for explanation to why we play rec!!!
I am not trying to eradicate on ice upsets. What i was trying to say without coming across as a p r i c k (prefer to be a p r i c k than a p u s s y) was that if you shout at me in an offensive manner in which i take offense then i will kick your f**king head in thus turning your controlled manner into an un-controlled manner, that is the reason i did the post in the first place and the reason i left the ice so that somebody did not get hurt if that makes me a wimp then f**k it so be it.
I came back because i enjoy hockey and the life which comes with it i did not come back to break heads. But as some of you are obviously bothered by this thread (which this board is a general board for people to speak there minds) then i will just carry on, this incident is forgotten.
To Clarky and Craig i do not fall out with martial art experts i have seen those Segal movies the other guy never wins
And also this web site is my release before i come training i can vent all my anger, frustration sexual etc etc here and if i did not do this posts then nobody would have anything to reply too. So does this post also help others get there demons out. Or should i go back to taking the pills!!! that gives me an idea!!
To mrbian (les) i will get my friend moggy back from where ever he is to help me in my quest to remove the teeth that i missed out the last time!! (only joking)
