Guys, just wanted to say what a great effort by the guys who played in Saturdays match, 6-4 was a good result by all accounts. By far the most enjoyable match I've played in for a long while (even though we lost). Certainly was a real reminder of how to defend! Everyone who played stepped up a level and raised their game to the level of the opposition, which shows that we have it when we want it. Can't fault anyone, the four defenceman all had great games and Luke stood on his head in goals. I also thought our two centremen had very good games!! Good result from Peterboro also guys, well done.

Els - Robin said the wingers sucked. Were'nt covering the points...Never heard any criticism of the centres!!!!!
I REALLY enojyed the match. Sure they were a better side but we held our own and outskated/scored them in the 3rd. Luke was by far the right choice for MOM, but I thought everyone raised their game.

My post game analysis...
Elson - if you had won more faceoffs the wingers might have been more productive. The time you did win one I do believe Medway scored following a pin point pass from me!!!
Woody - what was you +/- rating??? I was on when we scored 3 goals and you were only on for one! I also believe that you were scored on 4 times!!!

To everyone wondering, "that" MVP trophy could be the most coveted award in rec hockey!!! In fairness to Elson I think he scooped the 'spirit of the game' award after a match in his peewee days...your mum must be so proud!!!  |
