As it stands:
forwards
Chunk Shanny Elson (has anyone heard from him?) Wells (C) Thommo Scott Clarky Dooey
Parksy Deacon
Defence Griff Coles Archie Wells (S) Franchise Madge
Other Lucas
that's 3 even lines, £10 each (the spare £10 in the kitty for the next tournament game in the event we case short). Bring red and white shirts there may be a clash against lightening.
As it's meant to be fun i suggest we pull names from a hat to organise lines.

The set up as mailed by Brent
June 2009
Dear Teams,
Re: DCF Summer Cup Guidelines
In the interest of keeping us all together on the same page for the DCF Summer Cup please read the following recommended guidelines and philosophy for the competition.
Firstly, we have all seen the growth in recreational hockey in Cardiff since the inception of the Cardiff Bay Arena. It makes natural sense that we all work together to benefit from the opportunity to compete, play and participate in our great sport with local convenience The Devils Community Foundation as the Cardiff Devils official charity is currently and will continue to act in the best interest of hockey development in Cardiff and South Wales. It is the intention of the DCF to support, organise, lead if necessary and generally help foster the development of hockey at all levels in Cardiff This competition will not run perfectly and there will be things that need correction and improvement as we go along. I request that we all act in the best interest of developing a positive and co-operative hockey experience for everyone involved at all times. Can I request that all team captains collect their game fees from their team every night? The money will then be collected by myself (or another appropriate designated DCF official...probably Macky) and all necessary costs for operating the competition will then be met by the DCF. It is only required that each team submit £150.00. Any additional monies are the property of the individual teams. Teams are eligible to ice whichever players they like. My only request is that the players only play for one team during the competition. Some players in the competition will not be EIHA registered. Therefore teams and players accept their own responsibility for playing in the competition and will not hold the DCF or Cardiff Devils Ice Hockey Limited liable for any occurrence as a result of participating. The DCF will provide appropriate officials that are EIHA registered, insured and qualified. Each game will be operating on a 22 minute running clock basis. Teams will be allowed a maximum of a 5 minute warm up before each game. There will be one ice cut at the mid point of the session or after 3 games. Penalties will be assessed automatically to the non-offending player in the form of a penalty shot. Both sets of players that were on the ice at the time of the infraction will take a knee at the defensive blue and upon the referee’s whistle chase the penalty taker on their way to the intended goal. Players will be allowed to score on the rebound and the puck will then be live and in play if the goalie makes the save. If anyone should have any queries please do not hesitate to email brent@cardiffdevils.com or 07840 276761 and hopefully we can mutually move towards finding appropriate solutions Please remember this Cup competition was designed with the purpose of having fun throughout the summer. It culminates in an ultimate hockey community weekend in August celebrating our involvement within hockey in Cardiff. All players within the competition will be eligible to win an award as a result of their participation within Cup. The Awards BBQ will be on Sunday August 16 during and after the Cup Final. I wish all teams the best of luck and hope that everyone will be proud of their involvement in the 1st annual Summer Cup event. Yours sincerely, Brent Pope
Head of the Devils Community Foundation
If unregistered players are playing no-one will be insured in any respect, which means Neville would be eligible to ice. The team need to make a decision.

the officials aren't sanctioned, they are simply registered 'insured' and qualified. I believe Sam Motton is the referee. They can't enforce only some of their rules....

Southall - it will be £12.50 for the day - actually if you play it will be more like £11.50 each ;-) And I have no issues with you playing at all buddy.
I guess just bring both Red and White kits along though ;-)

eiha insurance covers teeth death and liability (shooting puck over glass and injuring a by stander etc) none of which will be available on Sunday, as for practice session claims it would be reasonably easy to hide his attendance provided he wasn't involved in an incident.

I dont mind you playing at all mate,
Infact, if you play, i am willing to go on D to make up the 4 D-Men so that the other boys who are forwards can play in their position.
